Dear Friends:
 
It is with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of Gerri Suggs McDaniel.  Gerri passed away peacefully at McLead Seacoast Hospital at approximately 9pm Saturday, Jan 11th.
 
Gerri was a true friend and a zealous fighter for conservative principals, who worked tirelessly to keep America First, and to help Make America Great Again, right up until the day she left us.  She leaves a very large hole in our lives, and in the many organizations that she was a part of -- that will not soon, if ever, be filled.

Gerri was a unique and shining star in so many ways.  Many of us in Horry County first met Gerri in the Tea Party movement ten or more years ago.  She was a dynamo then, and she remained so right up until the day that she left us.  She was a great joy to be around, and a great joy to work with.  She was an advisor and confidant to many politicians, including President Trump, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and many others.

There is an old Boy Scout adage about always leaving the campsite "better than you found it."  Gerri certainly personified that truth.  Perhaps more than anyone else I have ever met, she has left this place - this County, this State, our Nation - better than she found it.  She will long be remembered.  She will never be forgotten.  She will be deeply and sorely missed.

Details of Gerri's memorial and services are not yet available, but details will be shared as soon as they are available.  We ask that you please keep Gerri's husband Tom and their family in your prayers in this difficult time.

And while we are deeply saddened by our great loss, be reminded that Gerri would want us to press ahead with the great work that remains before us, the work to help restore this Nation, the work that she gave so much of her life to help bring to fruition.  So let us grieve and share and cry and laugh, but let us also remain committed that we will press on.  Gerri would expect nothing less!
