CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
Greetings Horry County Republicans!
I hope this email finds each one of you well. I wanted to update you on things happening in the HCGOP and upcoming events. As most of you know the southeast United States experienced a devastating hurricane last week in which severe damage and destruction felt in several states. Communities that many of us grew up visiting with family and friends have been completely destroyed; leaving behind homelessness, heartaches, and mental anguish. Therefore, I along with our leadership team would like to pull together a “love drive” to support these communities.
This is the time when we as Republicans and people of faith demonstrate our love for humanity and be a witness and support those in need. Beginning Wednesday, October 2nd , we will begin accepting donations at our HCGOP Headquarters/Victory Office located at 1705 Business 17 in Surfside Beach. We will accept donations through Friday at 4 pm. After that, we will continue to accept items, but those items will be delivered on future shipments. So, please bring any of the following items and drop them off as soon as you can, in order for us to get those to the impacted areas immediately. Anything you have is appreciated, but these are some items that have been highlighted as urgent: bottled water, non-perishable foods, baby supplies, sanitizer/wipes, trash bags, work gloves, paper towels, flash lights, batteries, toiletries, toilet paper, pet food, toothbrushes, bug spray, and can openers. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please let me, Rob, or Cathy know and we can buy supplies with your donation. I know these items will be a blessing to these people and your kindness will minister to them.
Monday, October 7 th , we will have a General HCGOP Meeting. We will have a sign waving opportunity at 6:00 followed by phone banking for President Trump and US Congressman, Russell Fry. We will also be cooking up some hamburgers. This will be a show of support for our candidates as we are in the final stretch of the election season.
SAVE THE DATE! – Our HCGOP Christmas Party will be held on Friday, December 13 th . Please mark your calendars! More information will be provided as we get closer to this date.
In just one month our nation will decide if we want to move forward or allow the liberal socialist machine to ruin what’s left of our nation. It is a time for choosing. It is a time for all of us to give a little of ourselves, to give some of our resources – whatever we can spare, to help save this Country that we have know and loved, for ourselves,for our children, and for our grandchildren!
If you can volunteer any time during the next few weeks to make calls, door knock, work at the HCGOP Headquarters, pray, or all of these, your participation would be appreciated. You can make a difference. We all can make a difference! Don’t let your voice be SILENT. Let’s Go!
